Meeting the aggressive construction timetable for this 285,000 SF
facility was made possible by Genesys Health System's decision to
pursue a Design-Build approach to this one-of-a-kind sports health
complex located on property adjacent to the hospital.
The new $18 million sports complex features tennis, racquetball,
paddleball, squash and basketball courts, a complete indoor aquatics
center (2 pools), an indoor track, weight training and aerobics/treadmill areas, a golf simulation station and dining facilities. It also includes spacious locker rooms providing massage therapy, whirlpool spas, steam rooms, dry saunas and cold plunge pools.
The project was completed eight months after the delivery of structural
steel. Meeting its demanding schedule was greatly facilitated by having
Granger's In-House Functions Division oversee all mechanical and
electrical aspects of the project.
