City of Jackson Parking Structures Jackson, Michigan Granger built two parking structures to accommodate a total of 1,040
vehicles (520 each) in downtown Jackson, adjacent to the new 13-story
headquarters of Consumers Energy. Both structures were built on tight
downtown sites requiring the utmost diligence, signage and
communication to ensure vehicular and pedestrian safety.
Each structure is comprised of four-levels with pre-cast columns and
decks featuring a pre-cast exterior. A total of 125 caissons were
required to support the structures.
The $14 million project also included the construction of two surface
lots, nearby road and utility improvements and the creation of a
park-like setting along the nearby Grand River...
