JW Marriott Hotel and Parking Ramp
Grand Rapids, Michigan
Serving as a subcontractor, Granger Construction was responsible for the construction of the foundations and the reinforced concrete frame for the new 22-story JW Marriott Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The concrete frame totaled approximately 400,000 square feet. Essential to the effective placement of concrete on this high-rise structure was a self-climbing form system for the pouring of shear walls and the critical stair/elevator core, central to the structure.
Granger Construction was also serving as the subcontractor responsible for the concrete frame for the 10-level parking ramp that will be located adjacent to the JW Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
