DELIVERING REMARKABLE BUILDINGS SINCE 1959

Midland County Jail
Midland, Michigan

Granger is currently constructing a new modern jail on 30 acres of undeveloped land. This 103,000 SF, 250-bed jail will include both detention housing as well as program and support spaces. Inmate housing is comprised of seven (7) different pods with varying classifications, including trustee and work release. Site planning and development are required as are completely new utility services.

Midland County Jail is one of the first in Michigan to utilize a Geothermal Heating and Cooling System which reduces reliance on fossil fuels and traditional boiler/chiller energy. Instead, geothermal technology takes advantage of the earth's natural constant temperature to help and cool the facility; thus, generating significant energy savings.

In addition, the existing Midland County Jail will be renovated to develop it as an efficient holding facility adjacent to the court.

For security purposes, photos of correctional
facilities will not be displayed on the web.
