When Sparrow Health System wanted to create a landmark professional
office building across from its hospital on Michigan Avenue in downtown
Lansing, they chose Granger Construction to help them achieve their
goals.
Prior to building on this very tight, high-traffic location, Granger had to demolish Sparrow's existing office facility to accommodate the new 254,000 SF eight-story office building which now houses medical offices, laboratories, a physical therapy area (including an indoor swimming pool), a fertility clinic, sleep laboratory, pharmacy, eye-care center, and restaurant/dining area.
As part of this $40 million project, Granger built-to-suit tenant office space totaling 120,000 SF.
The project also included a 650-space pre-cast parking deck, which
seamlessly mirrors the unique exterior of the main building, as well as
an enclosed climate-controlled pedestrian bridge over Michigan Avenue,
one of the Capital's busiest thoroughfares.
