According to the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is the most widely used third-party verification for green buildings in the world. LEED buildings are designed to be resource-efficient, saving money by using less water and energy, and have reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
