For many years, Granger Construction has been committed to promoting active lifestyles for our employees and supporting physical fitness initiatives in the community. In fact, Granger has been recognized among the “Healthiest Employers in Southeast Michigan” for two consecutive years by Crain’s Detroit Business publication.
“Granger has a long history of being dedicated to encouraging healthy lifestyles for our employees, their families and our communities,” said Matt Bozung, Director of Human Resources. “We truly believe our investment in promoting active lifestyles results in happier, healthier workers and more vibrant communities in which we live and work.”
To that end, Granger Construction encourages you to help fight childhood obesity by participating in the second annual Andre Hutson Family FootGolf Fundraiser on Saturday, August 27. In partnership with Conquest Health and Fitness Foundation, this event motivates families and friends to get outside and enjoy the unique game of FootGolf while supporting the fight against childhood obesity.
The event will take place at the Falcon Golf Course in East Lansing starting at 10 a.m. and includes family activities such as an inflatable fitness course, balloon blasters, face painting and a photo booth. Participants will also enjoy music and lunch.
What is FootGolf? It’s similar to golf except you use your feet to strike a soccer ball down the fairway and toward a specially designed oversized cup. The lowest number of total shots determines the winner. FootGolf is for people of all ages and fitness levels, males and females, young and old.
