Granger Construction completed a major renovation and expansion project on the Lansing Community College Arts and Sciences Building from 2012 to 2013.

This project added nine science classrooms and ten laboratory spaces to the 45-year-old, four story building. Renovations also brought a more modern, colorful and collaborative learning environment and design to the building.

Our team completed work one floor at a time, over a nine month period. This allowed LCC students and staff to continue using non-work-zone areas for normal operations during construction.

Not only did this project expand classroom and laboratory space within the Lansing Community College Arts and Sciences Building, it also included many features and attractions to encourage learning beyond the classroom:

  • Student-centered commons areas on every floor
  • Multimedia centers
  • Sate-of-the-art smart boards and projection systems
  • Furniture allowing students to plug in electrical devices to work alone or connect with other interactive technology for group study
  • An eye-popping lobby with floor-to-ceiling video display screens
