Granger Construction served as the General Contractor on a new central power plant for Pfizer in East Lansing, Michigan. The Pfizer power plant was built to increase capabilities of providing heating, cooling and electrical service to Pfizer’s new buildings on campus.

Work on this project included features such as:

  • Installation of two 60,000 lb/HR packaged boilers
  • Two 2,000 ton steam driven chillers
  • Two 3,825 ton cooling towers
  • 25 pumps
  • New deaerator and surge tanks
  • New electrical substations
  • New motor control centers
  • New state-of-the-art computers and process controls
