In August of 2010, Granger Construction completed building a new East Campus Housing Suite at Ferris State University.

This project involved demolition of seven two-story buildings which had served campus housing needs since 1955. Granger’s team then built three separate housing units located on the same property as the original buildings.

The new housing suites are three-story structures with a residential character. They feature two- and four-bedroom units, for a total of 300 bedrooms. Each unit also includes comfortable common spaces such as kitchens and living rooms.

The building exteriors were constructing using long-lasting, low-maintenance brick and stone, metal panels and asphalt shingles.

East Campus Suites is the first LEED certified project on campus, achieving LEED Gold status though only Silver was required. 75% of the work on this project was completed by LOCAL laborers.
