Granger Construction built a housing addition to the Oaks Correctional Facility in Manistee, Michigan. This 60,000 SF addition included two pod-type housing units. Each wing of these units was a two-story structure.

For security purposes, our team needed to section off a separate construction area utilizing electronic security and “ razor-ribbon” fencing. However, this added an extra level of logistical difficulty to the project, as it prevented work crews from using the sally port prison entrance each time they entered and exited the project site.
