Granger Construction “gutted” an existing 14-story, downtown office building, now known as the Cooley Center, to its original structural frame. In addition, Granger rebuilt the structural and exterior systems to form a ten story building with higher ceilings for Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
The building houses administrative offices, student meeting areas, classrooms and a new high-tech “Moot Court Room”.
Fifth Floor Build-Out
The 19,500 SF fifth floor shell holds the “Moot Court Room,” a trial Court Room with classrooms. It has state-of-the-art technology with touch screens for judges, jury and attorneys with capabilities for off-site teaching.
The cherry mill work in the two court rooms resemble Cooley’s other high quality finishes such as granite flooring and window sills.
