Construction of a new state-of-the-art indoor athletics facility, located within the Greg Hatcher Athletics Campus. The new facility houses a regulation indoor track, drop-down batting cages, locker rooms, coaches’ office space and a team meeting room. An artificial turf infield inside the track serves as an indoor practice facility for various athletics teams, the marching band and summer camp events. A total of 89 parking spaces were also added around the facility, with room to add more in the future if needed.

Key features include:

• Six lane 200 meter track
• Long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault runways and pits
• New public and private toilet rooms and locker rooms for various sports, coaches and officials, with access from outside as well as inside of the building
• Small concessions area, team room and training/weight areas

This new facility provides outdoor athletic teams access to quality training time throughout the year, no matter the weather. This brings Alma up to the standards of many other competitors in their conference and is expected to aid in recruitment and long term performance goals.
