This project involved constructing a new stand-alone indoor golf performance center and an addition to the existing golf clubhouse to provide world-class golf training tools, spaces and technologies to support elite golf performance and development. Funding for the combined project is a collaboration between GameAbove, Eagle Crest and EMU.

The two-story, 12,000 SF Golf Performance Facility features:

  • A 4,500 SF two-level short game practice area with undulating artificial turf for chipping and putting.
  • Two indoor hitting bays with state-of-the-art golf simulation equipment Lounge for student-athletes with a kitchenette and views overlooking the 18th green and indoor practice area
  • Gallery to showcase the history and accomplishments of EMU’s men’s and women’s golf teams
  • Women’s and men’s team locker rooms with custom wood lockers
  • Conference room and coaches offices
  • Club repair and storage areas

The 2,200 SF Clubhouse addition features four hitting bays with state-of-the art golf simulation equipment and a lounge area with seating adjacent to hitting areas and views of the 18th green. It also allows the clubhouse to host golf events throughout the winter offseason.

This project enables the men’s and women’s golf teams to compete at the highest level and further enhances EMU’s recruitment capabilities for their Division I program.
