Alumni Building Renovation

Ferris State University

This project involved full abatement and renovation of the 34,600 SF Alumni Building, the oldest building on campus built in 1929, to meet current code and accommodate significant technology upgrades.

Scope also called for abatement and full demolition of the adjacent West Building (23,700 SF) along with full site restoration.

The newly renovated Alumni Building now serves as the base of Information Technology Services (ITS) for the campus, which was transferred from the West Building, and is home of the University Archives. It also houses Advancement and Marketing, Gold Club, Finance, Human Resources, Staff Center for Training and Development, Extended and International Relations and Physical Plant.

Upgrades include improved lighting, air conditioning and an uninterrupted power supply to better support campus technology operations, along with a new training room.
