Joan Secchia Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital

Mary Free Bed, Spectrum Health Helon Devos

Granger was selected to construct Michigan’s first children’s rehabilitation hospital
to be located directly across from Mary Free Bed’s main campus in downtown
Grand Rapids, with a pedestrian walkway connecting the two hospitals.

The two-story facility will offer a full range of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation
programs and services for children of all ages, from birth to adulthood. The facility will feature 24 private inpatient rooms, sophisticated technology fit for
children, spacious outpatient treatment areas, spaces for specialized services, indoor and outdoor recreation spots for all ages and a classroom for a certified
teacher to help kids keep up with their schoolwork.

This new pediatric rehabilitation facility will bring together highly specialized, integrated programs with exceptional physicians and caregivers to help children
receive the treatment and therapies they need, when they need it, with more than 40 specialized rehabilitation programs to be offered. This will be the ninth free-standing children’s rehabilitation hospital in the United States and the first in Michigan.
