Granger employees are innovative problem solvers that hold customer service as their key purpose. We strive to Advance the Art and execute our value proposition through these values.
Granger started and remains a family-owned company, whose employees treat each other and our customers as family. The family approach to conducting business leads to repeat customers and lifelong relationships. We work each day to build an active and engaged workforce and maintain a work hard/play hard company culture. Community involvement is important to us all. Our employees support several charities with commitments of time, resources and financial contributions.
An award-winning and industry-recognized leader in employee learning and development, Granger thrives because we are able to align our company goals with personal ones, whether those be career-oriented or otherwise.
Granger is an award-winning and industry-recognized leader in the employee learning and development space. We have always encouraged our employees to learn, grow and apply new knowledge to their work. Our investment in learning and development is a central part of our strategy to attract, develop and retain talented employees. By providing internal learning programs and also leveraging outside partners, employees participate in a minimum of 20-30 hours of professional development annually.
Granger Construction is extraordinarily proud of our active and vibrant intern program. Summer internships are available to students, from freshmen to seniors, in construction management and civil engineering programs at colleges across the country. We look for the same values in an intern as we do in our full time employees. Dedication to providing excellent, customized and detailed services to our clients is our top priority.
We pride ourselves on offering a variety of experiences for our interns. Granger expects you to be an active part of our team. As an intern at Granger Construction, you could:
- Assist in submittal process by reviewing product data, handling approvals from design firms and expediting material and equipment activities.
- Assist with commissioning process.
- Assist with close-out process. Work with subcontractors. Prepare, submit and assemble extra materials, documents, manuals and records at the conclusion of a job.
- Prepare daily reports, including proper documentation and recording.
- Assist with estimating.
Look for Granger Construction at school career fairs in the fall and spring. We typically hire our interns in March to start 12-week summer internship programs in May. All internships are paid and typically include a scholarship award. Interns may be on job sites across Michigan or in our Lansing, Grand Rapids or Novi offices.
Many of our interns go on to obtain full time opportunities at Granger Construction.
