The Delhi Charter Township Library is part of a consolidation program, bringing all Township departments together.

The library’s open landscape design assists in creating a family friendly environment, helping the library better serve its community. A curved wall of windows adds architectural interest and provides substantial natural lighting. It also invites patrons to relax with a book.

Since the new Township facility consolidated departments that operated according to different schedules, Granger developed a unique heating system whereby climates could be controlled independently in each department. To improve energy efficiency, Granger designed the mechanical system to include heat pumps and radiant floor heating versus traditional air heating.

In fall of 1995, Granger’s innovative mechanical/electrical system was so energy efficient, Delhi Charter Township received an $11,627 check from Consumers Power recognizing their dedication to energy conservation.
