Granger Construction has a long-running internship program, employing college students each year in the office and on-site at various projects. Meet Jared Bonk, a member of Granger’s 2019 Summer Internship Program.

ABOUT JARED:
This summer, Jared was stationed in the Lansing office with our General Contracting team. He noted he was most excited to gain real-world experience and learn the ins and outs of the construction business. Granger’s General Contracting team ensured Jared met these goals by having him help with bids, subcontractor calls, estimating and much more. At the end of the summer program, Jared continued his internship with Granger into the fall semester.
Q: How did you decide on your field of study?
A: “I had a lot of interest in the construction industry in high school and a lot of my family members come from construction positions.”
Q: How do you think this internship will impact your future goals?
A: “I think this internship will impact my future goals by giving me a better idea about what the construction and general contracting world is really like.”
Q: What is one fun fact about yourself?
A: “A fun fact about myself is that I was born on Christmas Day.”
