Granger Construction has a proven history of K-12 bond consulting services. We have helped over 60 school districts with bond projects and pre-bond services, advising school boards and superintendents about best practices for dissemination of information about their bond to their communities. Our experienced team has successfully coached citizen committees to bond campaign wins, and helped school systems navigate all phases of a bond project, from pre-bond assessments through community engagement and on to final project completion.

Facility Assessment

The first step in any successful bond campaign is to assess existing facilities and determine needs and opportunities. Granger’s Preconstruction team helps districts navigate this process and provides detailed documentation of assessment findings.

Defining Goals

The second step for K-12 bond projects is to utilize findings from the facilities assessment to inform a strategic plan. Granger’s teams have experience helping diverse stakeholder groups achieve alignment around clear project goals.

Establishing of District Team

Step three in the bond process is to identify prospective community leaders, establish a steering committee and assign responsibilities. Granger’s industry experts have experience supporting both public and private school systems through this process.

Community Engagement

The fourth step for bond projects is to engage community stakeholders. Granger will conduct forums, organize and prioritize community input, and develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies for community engagement.

Master Planning

Step five is to develop a draft program for your bond. Granger teams can assist in defining concepts, as well as conducting realistic cost analysis.

Bond Program Development

The sixth step is to develop a formal bond program to present to the Board of Education (BOE). Granger team’s can assist in confirming and leveraging your strategic plan to define a comprehensive and inclusive program.

Bond Application

Step seven is to finalize your bond document. Granger can assist you in navigating this process, including coordinating your treasury meeting, seeking BOE approval, and finalizing submission of your bond application.

Bond Campaign

The eighth step is to work with your steering committee to develop your campaign and outreach strategy. Granger has experience coaching clients through YES Vote analysis.

Step 8

Vote

Step nine, the final step in establishing a K-12 bond project, is the vote itself. Granger can assist clients in tracking poll trends leading to your YES vote.
